Today there are more and more concerns about the world’s energy supply. The word energy is a concept of power. There are many different types of energy. For example, there is solar energy, Potential energy, Kinetic energy, Nuclear energy and Wind that produces energy.
If you remember from 7th grade science class the definition of the word energy is the ability to do work. For example, let’s say you have a windmill and no wind but you blow on the windmill to make it work, by the windmill spinning it created energy.
Engineers Claim Machine Makes Free Energy
An Irish company is raising eyebrows with its claim that it has developed a machine that can create free and totally clean energy. (Sept. 12)
Some of the most commonly used energies would be Thermal and Kinetic.
Thermal energy is known as the inside of energy. Thermal energy has two main components they are potential energy. Potential energy is the capturing of energy in an object with the power to be let out. The second energy being Kinetic energy, which is the result of a body of motion containing energy.
There are constant changes within the energies of thermal and kinetic. Energy can be utilized in many shapes and forms. Everyday, scientists are working on new ways to use energy. Just here in the United States alone, more energy is used here than in almost anywhere in the world. Big companies are creating new ways to conserve energy. The appliance companies are developing energy saving products such as air conditioners, washers and dryers and dishwashers.
Most people take energy for granted and that it will always be around and it probably will in one form or another. But every now and then it is good to try to help the environment and conserve some of that energy.
